  • How Can You Earn Cash from the ACX Bounty Program?

ACX is for authors who want audio books created, and because it’s owned by Amazon, you can guess where those audiobooks will go on sale.

You guessed it! In the Amazon marketplace.

I recently wrote a story about it being time for us writers on Medium (and elsewhere) to stop leaving money on the table.

When I wrote that story, I knew I was talking to myself also, I just didn’t realize to what extent. But the more I thought about it, the more things began to click!

    SNAP!

When it comes to my audio books and making money from the ACX referral “bounty” program, I’ve been leaving an awful lot of money on the table!

    Here’s how…

Why should authors use ACX for creating audio books?

When authors begin to look into the option of having an audiobook created, it makes perfect sense to consider Amazon as a solution.

Why wouldn’t you. Amazon already has the whole self publishing industry sold up with their:

So why wouldn’t you want to use Amazon and their ACX website for audiobooks? When it comes to the audio book industry, Amazon’s “Audible” books are highly popular with readers.

My 69-year-old sister is home-bound, and all she does is listen to audiobooks — when she’s not binge watching cooking shows. She’s had her Audible account for more than ten years!

Anyone who knows the Amazon brand, knows that they always have some kind of specials and deals, to keep consumers happy and always coming back.

The same is true for the various offers they have for their book customers, like the splendid trial offers, especially the service pertaining to their own brand of audio books, known as “Audible”

Audible books are Amazon self published books that have been converted to audio format.

One of the great benefits connected with Audible books has to do with the Free Audible Trial, allowing customers to try the services for a limited time, without paying a fee. This is actually advantageous to everyone concerned.

    • Customers benefit from the ability to try the service and see if they like and want to keep it.
    • The book’s author can benefit from: 1) Audio book sales. And if they’re also an affiliate like me, from: 2) Commissions related to the Audible Free Trial 3) Commissions related to the Audible Bounty Program
    • The narrator of the book can potentially benefit from the same sources as the author (if they’re affiliates).

Now, let’s talk about the obvious question, when it comes to earning from the ACX website’s services.

How can you make money with ACX audio books?

One thing I have come to realize is that you can make money with the audiobooks created on ACX, even when you don’t aggressively promote them.

I earn when people stumble across my audiobooks.

The title you see below was the result of narrator Wendy Almeida, the talented woman I was thrilled to find on ACX, and I didn’t have to shell out any upfront money to get her.

I actually lucked up, because this narrator is fantastic and she has worked with lots of authors. She has a large portfolio on Amazon. She ended up narrating two of my books.

We both earn from my audio book sales.

A helpful guide with a number of thought provoking discussions and personal anecdotes from the author, on how to combat the stress that comes from difficult but common everyday events and circumstances.

Besides offering my own Audible book for sale I also share the Free Audible Trial link with my readers, so they can do one or both of the following:

The way that the ACX referral bounty program works, is shown here in this screen shot, taken from their website details.

    Final Thoughts

In case you’re wondering why you might be reading and seeing ACX and some other website names thrown around a lot, it’s because too many of us are missing out on what’s right under our noses.

When I write stories about lucrative affiliate marketing or referral opportunities, you can expect names like Fiverr, and Canva to come up more and more, because the earning potential is truly available.

But aside from those two websites, if you’re an aspiring or new self published author; the name to keep your mind on is Amazon, and basically everything that Amazon touches.

They have a love affair with writers and authors, and the high volume of business that we bring to the table.

Like so many other Amazon services and resources, ACX is tailor made for us.

🆕 One of the more recent gifts that Amazon has started providing to author’s is Amazon’s Virtual Voice (AI narration). While still in beta, selecting this option when available to you, will enable authors to convert their eligible eBooks into audiobooks.

The primarily requirement is having a US-based KDP account with a reflowable text eBook. Any books found to be eligible, can be converted in minutes, Authors can choose from 80+ AI voices, and take advantage of the dedicated studio for editing purposes.

It doesn’t matter whether you decide to locate a human narrator for your book, or you like the idea of using AI to get started, and tweaking AI results to your liking.

Whatever you decide, the main issue is making sure you start giving serious thought to the option of having your book or novel turned into an audio book.

Are you ready to look into this resource more, so you can start on your way? You might even find that you’re interested in doing voice overs and book narration yourself, just like Wendy Almeida. She currently has several dozen books that she has narrated. With audio books, the possibilities are endless.

Do yourself a favor and have your books turned into Audible books that you can promote and earn from.

  • Websites That Pay You Twice: Earn from Using Them AND Referring Others

    Most people use websites.

Smart people get paid from them.

But the people who make the most money online?

👉 They get paid twice from the same platforms.

If you’re already spending time on popular sites—writing, designing, selling, or promoting—you could be leaving money on the table without even realizing it.

    The difference isn’t working harder.

    It’s thinking differently.

    Here’s the shift:

Instead of only using platforms for what they offer…

👉 Start getting paid for sending other people to them

That’s where affiliate and referral income comes in.

    And the best part?

    You’re not promoting random products.

You’re recommending tools you already use.

Below are some familiar platforms that many writers, creators, and online earners already use…

But most people miss the second income stream hiding inside them.

    🎧Amazon (ACX)

If you’re a self-published author, ACX lets you turn your book into an audiobook—without upfront costs.

    But here’s what many overlook:

👉 You can also earn by referring other authors to the platform.

    2 ways to earn:

    • Audiobook royalties
    • Referral commissions

    🎨 Canva

Most writers use Canva for images.

But Canva Pro users unlock more assets—and more importantly:

👉 You can earn by referring others to upgrade.

    2 ways to earn:

    • Better content creation
    • Affiliate referrals

    💼 Fiverr

Fiverr is one of the easiest platforms to start earning online.

    You can:

    • Sell services
    • Offer gigs
    • Build a side hustle

    But also:

👉 Get paid when people sign up or buy through your referral links.

    2 ways to earn:

    • Your services
    • Affiliate commissions

    📧 GetResponse

If you plan to build an online income long-term, email marketing is essential.

GetResponse helps automate your business—but also:

👉 Pays you to refer others to use it.

    2 ways to earn:

    • Your business growth
    • Referral income

    📝We Write Blog Posts

This one is especially powerful for your niche.

    You can:

    • Get content written
    • Write for others
    • Promote the service

👉 That’s multiple income angles from one platform.

A lot of people avoid affiliate marketing because they think it means “selling.”

    It doesn’t.

    You’re simply:

👉 Recommending tools you already use

And getting paid when others find them useful too.

Start Here: 7 Beginner Steps to Make Money Online (Without Getting Overwhelmed)

What this site is (and isn’t)

JustAskJustiss is for beginners who want practical, step-by-step answers to common “how do I earn online?” questions. You’ll find guides, tool roundups, and simple systems you can follow.

It’s not a place for hype, “get rich quick” promises, or strategies that only work if you already have a big audience.

    The 7-step beginner roadmap

If you’re starting from zero, use this sequence. It’s designed to help you pick a path, avoid distractions, and build momentum.

    1) Pick one income lane (for now)

Trying everything at once is the fastest way to quit. Choose one lane for the next 30 days:

    • Freelancing (fastest to first dollars)
    • Affiliate content (slower start, scalable)
    • Micro-tasks / websites that pay (simple, limited upside)

    2) Define a “tiny offer” you can deliver

If you freelance, don’t sell “writing” or “marketing.” Sell something small and clear, like:

    • “I’ll rewrite your homepage headline + first section.”
    • “I’ll edit 1 blog post for clarity and SEO basics.”
    • “I’ll create 10 product descriptions in your brand voice.”

    3) Choose one platform to find opportunities

Pick one place to start (you can expand later): Fiverr, Upwork, LinkedIn, or a niche Facebook group. Your goal is to learn what people actually pay for.

    4) Build a 1-page proof of skill

You don’t need a full website. You need proof. Create a simple document or page with:

    • What you do (your tiny offer)
    • Who it’s for
    • 2–3 samples (even self-made samples count)
    • How to contact you

    5) Use a repeatable outreach script

Don’t wing it. Use a short message you can reuse:

Hi [Name] — I noticed [specific detail]. If you want, I can [tiny offer] so you get [result]. I can share a quick example first. Want me to take a look?

    6) Track your inputs (not just outcomes)

Early on, focus on what you can control. Track:

    • Offers sent
    • Responses
    • Calls/chats booked
    • Projects completed

    7) Add one simple “level up” each week

Once you have momentum, improve one thing at a time: your offer, your samples, your pricing, or your workflow. Small upgrades compound.

    Where to go next

If you want the fastest path, start with freelancing basics and a tiny offer. If you want long-term leverage, start learning content + affiliate strategy and build a simple publishing routine.
